What the launch-update list saves

When you submit the form, it saves your email address, signup time, and a record of your request to receive launch updates. The signup also receives an internal record identifier. Earlier signups may also include a name or signup category.

The optional phone-caption checkbox states that you have hearing loss and need captions for telephone calls. If you select it on a new signup, we also save the version of that statement with your signup time. Leaving it blank does not prevent you from joining the list and is not treated as a statement about your hearing. Existing signup records are not overwritten by repeat submissions; email us to change your captioning interest.

Please use your own email address. Do not provide medical records, diagnoses, or another person’s private details. Confirming that you are 18 or older, using your own email, and requesting updates, then selecting “Get launch updates,” submits your signup. Typing an email or selecting a checkbox without submitting the form does not add you to the list.

How your signup is used

Your signup records your interest in Companion.gold™ and your request for launch updates. Optional captioning interest helps us plan the service and relevant launch updates. The information is available to the Companion.gold™ site owner and stored by the website’s hosting service. It is not displayed to other visitors or automatically sent to a captioning provider.

A success message on the website confirms that your signup was saved. For a new signup, that success message also shows a private unsubscribe link. No automatic confirmation email is sent at this stage. Save the link to remove your signup, including any captioning-interest record, at any time; you can also request removal or deletion by emailing peaceofmind@companion.gold. Joining the launch-update list does not create a product account, reserve a launch date, or enroll anyone in Companion™ or a federally funded captioning service. The optional checkbox is not an FCC eligibility certification; provider registration and a separate signed certification are required before funded captions can be activated.

What the demonstrations do

The phone screens on this website are illustrations of a product in development. They do not listen to calls, record audio, access contacts, track your location, or place calls. The launch-update list does not request medical records, payment details, or another person’s private information.

Your text-size preference

The Text size button saves your text-size choice in this browser so it stays comfortable on your next visit. This preference is not sent with your launch-update list signup.
